I LOVE being organized. I love for everything to have a place, every task a checklist, and every paper a folder. Getting yourself organized can take a lot of work, but the end result is sure to be worth it. Below I am going to share with you some of my tips for getting organized and staying that way! Later I will do a post about getting your home organized, whether that be your home or just your bedroom/dorm room (for all you soon to be college freshman, eh hem Bailey that'll be for you sis!)I hope you'll feel inspired.
My first tip for getting organized is to get a planner....or two. I personally have two planners simply because I love them, and well because I write too much down. I have a planner for school and I also have a planner for a combination of my personal life and this blog. (side note: get a cute planner! something you like and will want to take out of your bag regardless of where you are) Now in my planner for my personal life/blog I like to include my work schedule, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, appointments, ideas for the blog, deadlines I give myself for the blog, and any events that are occuring that week or month. Fairly simple concept. In this planner, I also cross off the day as it passes because that helps me look at it better and not just see a ton of words. In my school planner, which is subject to change since school hasn't started yet, I have what classes are on which days, and events that have to do with school. This planner also has a handy dandy little checklist (my favorite!) on each day, so I have add and check off what needs to be done for school.
My next tip is to color coordinate. I am going to do this with my school planner. I wil have a color for each class and I will use that same color to write & highlight in my planner, as well as have a folder that same color.
Get inspired! I am always looking on Pinterest for ideas to get organized or making templates to keep myself organized.

I also like to add quotes to my planner or get a planner that has inspirational quotes in it. My personal planner does not have any in it, so I often will add a quote to the page that inspires me or that I saw on Instagram or Facebook. However, my school planner has a quote for every week as well as a section to list things that you are grateful for each week and your 3 top priorities
Use your planner. That's half the fun of being organized!!
Finally, start slow. It is often hard to make the change all at once, slowly but surely though you can start living a happy and organized life!
With love & a sprinkle of sarcasm,
Shelby
