I don't know about you all, but I have THE most boring hair (even my friends would probably agree). It is all one length besides the bits that I frequently burn off with my straightener (disclaimer: Chi's get freakin' HOT) and I hardly ever style it besides a pony tail or a braid every now and then. I have also never dyed my hair. SO other than the fact that my hair is naturally very wavy/curly, it usually looks quite ordainary. This being said, I also HATE to wash my hair. It takes so long to dry and then that is just more time that I have to spend straightening it. I usually will wash it every other or every two days. I am lucky to not have too much of a greasy or oily issue. BUT for those days that I go more than a day without washing my hair, I depend on the trusty Batiste Dry Shampoo. I love it! I get mine from TJ Maxx and it is seriously only like $7 or something. Cheap! I use the scent, Tropical and everytime I use it it smells like the beach. What dry shampoos do you like or what do you think of them? I also have a dry conditioner but I have always been too afraid to use it.
Moving on to hairspray. I have been using the brand Rusk Being Sexy for many months and I just keep getting it. I think I even have two bottles of it under my sink. It's a good one! I again love the smell, and it has the perfect amount of hold and texture that my hair needs without being hard and crunchy. I also get this from TJ Maxx and it is always $9.99.
During my Florida vacation, I had a hair emergency due to the fact that my hair was literally soaking up every bit of moisture it could get from the air, so I looked like I was electrocuted most of the week until making a run to the Target for one of my new favorite products! John Frieda Frizz Ease Beyond Smooth. This is like a hair serum that you put in your hair while it is wet and it helps prevent frizz. To be honest, if it is really muggy outside...there is not anything in the world that is going to help my hair stay straight, but this serum does make a huge difference on my normal day to day style.
I wanted to include a product that I use everyday, my Sonia Kashuk eyebrow filler pencil in brown (I think it's just brown!?). I LOVE this pencil. Sonia Kashuk can be one of the more expensive Target brands, but I have been filling in my eyebrows for almost a year, and I am still on the same one I started with, so it is worth the money. Filling in my eyebrows is something I do everyday, often very subtley, but I never leave the house without doing it. Good eyebrows can make or break your look, and if they are clean you can look like you tried really hard while not wearing any make up. Or maybe I am just that lazy...
Have a happy happy Thursday! The week is almost over.
With love & a sprinkle of sarcasm,
Shelby
