Hi, hello, how are ya?! YES it's really me! After a much too long break from all of you and my sarcasm (just kidding, still sarcastic on the daily), I am back and I apologize for being gone so long. Life has really just gotten in the way this past month between school, work and my personal life (yes I have one). During this break, I have been extremely busy with school and clinical. But I am having so much fun and learning so much in clinical. It is such a blessing to have a close group of girls (and I definitely have mine!) you can count on to study and work with to keep yourself motivated and on track. For we all are working towards the same end goal which is fast approaching!!!
In the meantime, I also successfully threw Leighton a surprise 24th birthday party. This was the first birthday I got to spend with him, so I wanted to make it extra special. We had a great time with so many of our wonderful friends!
Now that you know a little bit of what I have been up too, let's get into today's post! As it is the first day that it REALLY feels like fall to me, I wanted to share some inspiration of things that I love for fall time and what I am doing to get ready for fall. I am much more of a summer girl, but I do really love fall style. I love getting to wear booties, beanies and dark nail polishes; however, I am such a cold natured person (literally I am cold all of the time) that this weather sucks for me because I can't judge the temperature to dress warm enough!
SO my first must have is a blanket scarf. Yes the word blanket is in it so you definitely need it for those chilly evenings that turn into freezing nights. I recently picked one up from Minash Boutique and although I haven't worn it yet, I love it and it will be making it's debut this weekend at the truck pulls. (I'll post a pic on Insta @sprinkleofsarcasm).

Secondly--dark nail polish. This love is difficult to fulfill because with my clinical site, I can't wear nail polish. :( So what? I still paint my nails and then take off the polish the day before :) I also just recently got a new nail polish from OPI called "I have a herring problem" I LOVE IT! It is a dark charcoal gray with a little bit of sparkle. Perfect for fall and will be able to carry you into winter. I also have been liking OPI's "my address is Hollywood," another good fall color, more of a pinky brick tone but definitely pretty and subtle on your nails. Share with me what colors you have been liking!! I have been using Sally Hansen's gel polish, but I have really been loving OPI's new fall colors. So leave me a comment of what else I should try.
Finally--pumpkin EVERYTHING. OK, no I am not the basic white girl to go to Starbucks daily for a PSL, but I AM the girl that buys out Bath and Body Works for all things pumpkin. Trying not to overdo it this year, I got the new pumpkin spiced cheesecake three wick candle (YUM). I love these candles because their scent is not too strong that it is going to put you in a pumpkin coma...it could happen people. I also got one of the new pumpkin shea butter lotions, I use this every single night before I go to bed because I love smooth hands!!! I also got a small regular lotion in the same scent that I take with me in my purse for when the wind is just cold enough that you feel like your skin is going to fall off.
I also have been trying to find the perfect shade of lip stick for fall and with the help of Meghan, I think I found it! It it by L'Oreal and the name is Le Matte with the color being 102-she's so matte. ($8.99 at Target). I am not a big lip stick wearer but I really like to follow the trend for fall. I just got this yesterday, but I think it is going to be a fav of mine for a while.
Thanks for reading, I hope that this has inspired you to get in the fall spirit with me! I am really going to try to manage my time so I can at least do one post a week. It makes me so happy :)
Have a happy Wednesday!
With love & a sprinkle of sarcasm,
Shelby
